The genesis of [In Beard We Trust] (IBWT) is rooted in the vision of its Designer and Founder, Steve Schaefer. Born and bred in Brooklyn, NY, Schaefer spent the late '90s as a touring rock 'n' roll musician. His personal struggle to find comfortable, luxurious, and well-fitting clothes that suited his build served as the primary inspiration for the brand's tracksuit design.

Schaefer's core belief is that power and comfort should never be mutually exclusive. IBWT was created to bridge the gap between elite performance and aspirational everyday luxury for the big and tall man. Initially solving fit challenges for professional athletes—including football players, basketball stars, and MMA fighters—the brand's approach ensures the "everyday giant" can feel comfortable while owning the room. Designer and Partner Caycee Black helped actualize this vision, creating the initial design and tech packs for the high-end tracksuit/business suit hybrids based on Steve’s initial concept. 

The resulting garments are meticulously tailored to accentuate broad shoulders and strong builds, utilizing innovative materials that provide four-way stretch while maintaining a sharp, designer aesthetic. The collection blends Dark rocker fashion with Contemporary classic tracksuits. The suits are constructed from high-end Italian and Portuguese fabric but assembled in the heart of NYC.
